Protest Planned for Snowbowl Ski Area Opening

Flagstaff, AZ -- The Flagstaff Ski area, Arizona Snowbowl, will be opening Wednesday, January 24th at 9:00 a.m. To draw attention to Snowbowl's disregard for cultural, environmental and public health concerns by attempting to make artificial snow with wastewater on the Sacred Mountain, a protest will be held this Saturday, January 27th. Demonstrators will gather at Flagstaff City Hall at 7:00 a.m.

10 things you can do to help SAVE THE PEAKS!

1. Boycott Snowbowl.
The are more environmentally friendly and culturally sensitive resorts out there. Ski/Snowboard responsibly and respectfully!

2. Join the protest on Snowbowl's opening day!
On the first Saturday after Arizona Snowbowl’s opening day we are calling for your support to join us in a protest!
When: 7:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27th.
Where: Flagstaff City Hall (Route 66 side)
What to bring: Signs! Wear warm clothing!
