Medicine Men Join With Tribal Leaders
To Save the San Francisco Peaks
Tribal Leaders and Members Gather to Stop Snow Making with
Reclaimed Water, Call for Extension of Comment Period
Window Rock, AZ – On Thursday, April 8th the Diné Medicine
Men Association (DMMA) and the Save the Peaks Coalition will meet
with tribal leaders to affirm the sacredness of the San Francisco
Peaks. Leaders from Arizona and New Mexico tribes will state and submit
their formal resolutions against the use of reclaimed water for snowmaking
and will call for an extension of the Forest Service comment period
on the proposed project.
