Barring a restraining order, the US Forest Service wants to allow Snowbowl to start expansion and snowmaking with unsafe water. They would be digging pipelines and cutting down 74 acres of wilderness in just a few weeks.
However, the Save the Peaks Coalition & Environmental groups are teaming up with tribes and people just like you to challenge the Forest Service and put a stop to this tragedy. We need your help!
Why is it necessary to stop Snowbowl?
- Wastewater snowmaking is an extreme health risk.
- The USFS decision violates the Endangered Species Act .
- Snowmaking will violate the Religious Freedom Act.
- The FS decision has disproportional adverse effects on Native Americans.
- The USFS decision violates the National Historic Preservation Act.
- The National Forest Management Act has not been followed.
